Cala Trebaluger, Fustam and Cala Escorxada Area

Trabaluger or Trebaluger is one of the most beautiful virgin beaches; it is not the best for the lazy, you have to walk to see it Trebalúger :

It is one of the virgin beaches most pampered by the Menorcans; it is in a protected area and is one of those that is preserved most naturally, most authentically virgin, surely not only because it requires a walk of about thirty minutes from Cala Mitjana, but also due to the fierce defense of this site by the Menorcans.

The sandy beach is fine at the end of a hundred meters wide and has a straight entrance cove with parallel sides, completely surrounded by a dense Mediterranean pine forest. It also has a stream that winds behind the sand until it makes its way to the sea between the dunes on one side of the beach. The trail from Cala Mitjana to Trebalúger is wide and clear, and it takes about 35 minutes; if we continue along the trail from this cove, we can also access the coves of Fustam and Escorxada. You can also reach it from the Santo Tomás urbanization, walking in the direction of Binigaus, but only Cala Escorxada is halfway from Cala Mitjana, while the other two are closer to Cala Mitjana.

Cala Escorxada and Fustam

Cala Escorxada :

It is a medium-sized cove at the end of a not very deep inlet. With a very dense forest ending at the same barranco and almost on the beach, which keeps it hidden from view until you are right upon it, both by sea and by land. On one side there is an old boat hut. The walk takes more than an hour, which guarantees that you will not find more people than those accompanying you or those arriving by boat.

If you still have energy and are coming from Binigaus, the next cove is twenty minutes away and it is Fustam, quite a bit smaller and in a narrow inlet

Excursions: The visit to the coves themselves is already a good excursion.

Access: My recommendation is that if you are coming on foot, you do so from Cala Mitjana, but you can do it from Santo Tomás.

From Cala Mitjana (To get there, see Cala Galdana Area), taking the path to the left of the cove, the first will be Trebalúger at 35 minutes, the next is Fustam at 25 minutes, and then Escorxada 15 minutes more.

From Santo Tomás (To get there, see Santo Tomás Area), continue to Binigaus and take a path that starts at the end of the beach and climbs up the cliff side next to the forest; it takes one hour to reach the first one in this direction, which is Escorxada.

If you don't like to walk, this cove is not a good choice, unless you have a boat or rent one.
